I spent a good chunk of my life feeling stuck with health. I oscillated on a spectrum from hyper-disciplined and restrictive to unpredictable and disordered. I thought I needed diets and more rigidity to solving my binge eating and poor body image issues. None of my attempts were providing productive relief — I felt increasingly hopeless and guilt-ridden with each plan or food rule I couldn’t sustain. I was riding an all or nothing pendulum that I did not know how to get off.
Through years of slowly and repetitively putting simple concepts into practice, I am more at peace with my whole self than ever before. Most days I now feel stable and generally unbothered by food and my body. Finding food freedom has allowed me to build a stronger self-trust and intuition in all areas of my life, empowering me to focus on anything and everything else! I am so motivated to channel my time and energy into getting you unstuck, no matter what your pendulum looks like.

I’ve built and refined my philosophy over many years and hundreds of coaching sessions. These tenants will also give you an idea of what topics I typically cover in my sessions:
✴ Food: I believe our bodies have the wisdom and ability to self-regulate and that all foods should not just be allowed but enjoyed. Instead of giving you a rigid meal plan to follow, I will work with you to explore your current and ideal relationship with food and build small, realistic intentions toward that vision.
✴ Body: I believe in partnering with our bodies as a caretaker, not a shape shifter. Instead of keeping you accountable to a weight loss goal, I will provide the resources needed to respect the body you have today.
✴ Movement: I believe movement is a self care tool that is most sustainable when it is enjoyable. Instead of keeping you accountable to an inflexible workout plan, I’ll help you discover how joyful movement could realistically fit in your life.
✴ Grocery shopping & meal planning: I believe providing nourishing, satisfying meals can be done even in the busiest seasons of life. I will help you overcome your unique barriers and give practical meal ideas customized to your preferences.
✴ Nutrition basics: I believe nutrition is often over-complicated. I will provide the basics you need to feel confident in nourishing yourself consistently, without diets or food rules.
✴ Self compassion: I believe compassionate self talk is the foundation of making sustainable progress in all of these areas. I will challenge your inner critic and cheer you on in your mindset wins! -
I am a Certified Integrative Health Coach (trained at Duke IM, an NBHWC approved program), a Certified Intuitive Eating Counselor, and an Eating Disorder Specialist. I have a BS in Science Communication and Global Health.
I have also received supplemental training in therapeutic modalities I use with clients, including compassionate Motivational Interviewing, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT).

My coaching style is non-judgemental, collaborative, and exploratory. I specialize in helping clients find food freedom and body respect using the evidence-based framework of Intuitive Eating. I am a HAES®-informed coach, meaning my coaching is weight-inclusive and focused more on body connection than weight control.
I unfortunately cannot coach clients who are less than 18 years old or are in active Eating Disorder recovery. If you think you might need more comprehensive care for an Eating Disorder, please talk to your healthcare team for more specialized resources.
